[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I unfortunately broke my ankle really badly early this summer, so I was completely bed-bound for about a month and then still mostly home-bound for the rest of the summer. I usually don't use AC much in the summers because I would rather just go somewhere else for the hottest days, but since that wasn't possible this year, this AC was a lifesaver! Because of my injury, I had to ask my dad and brother to install the AC for me. They complained a lot that the instructions were not good and that it was much harder to assemble and install than it needed to be. They are both generally pretty handy when it comes to this kind of thing, so I believe that it wasn't easy. I was in the other room, but could hear them working on it and it took about an hour. The AC did work well once installed. It kept my large-ish guest room very comfortable on some very hot days. I do think this AC is a bit louder than the one that I have in my own bedroom, but that one is the kind that stands on the floor and has a large pipe that runs out of the window, so it isn't a completely fair comparison. I sleep with a fan on for white noise anyway, so it didn't bother me. I really liked that this window unit doesn't take up so much space in the room. It fit well in my standard sized windows, but for next year I am going to get a stronger bracket/support to mount it on, just for the extra piece of mind. Even with using AC a lot more this summer than in past summers, my electric bill was actually very reasonable. Definitely more than normal, but less than I had prepared myself for!

It's so sweltering hot here in the South where I live that our HVAC system can't keep up in this heat. We have to use window units to keep cool and they actually keep it very comfortable in the house. Our central air we keep at 69 all year round, but in the summer it's horrible keeping it cool in here and by the end of the day it shoots up to 82 inside. With the window Air it stays 69 inside constant which I love because I hate the heat especially humidity. This unit cools my living room and kitchen, then with the unit in our bedroom I can actually use the oven to cook because it stays nice and cold in here.

It was very easy to set up. The noise level is extremely low. I love that it has a remote or you can use your smartphone if you download the Alexa or google assistant app. It restarts automatically after a power outage which is really cool. You can set the unit to turn on and off whenever you want using the 24 hour timer. The filter is washable. So you won’t need to spend that extra money buying new filters. It isn't extremely heavy and bulky, which made it easier to install in my window. It comes with a nice remote control. For even more convenience, I hooked it up to my Amazon Alexa. I'm extremely happy with this product. It cools almost my entire downstairs, and rather quickly, too! (With the help of our ceiling fans to help distribute the cool air.) It's also pretty quiet. Has no problem cooling 240 square feet at all. Says it’s good for up to a 250 square foot area. It has multiple cooling and fan speeds. Energy saving/eco mode is perfect for saving on electric bills. It has a built in 24 hour timer, which is great for setting for the day before leaving for work. It came with all the installation accessories which is a plus. Also comes with a remote. The Eco feature is useful for lowering Energy Bills. The Dehumidifier "Dry" feature is also a useful feature. \n\nIt can get loud though. It is not too loud and cools to get the job done for a bedroom. The unit was easy to place in the bedroom window and it came with everything needed to install. There are 7 temperature levels on a knob as well as one for fan speed. If you are looking for one to set at a specific temperature (say 65 degrees) this may not be for you. If you are looking for something to cool without wanting a specific temperature then this is a wonderful option. This will be utilized all summer long.

It is the same btu's so I know it will keep our house nice and cool in the summer and it is so much quieter. I love the smart features so I can use my phone to control it without having to b right next to it, and it comes with more settings than our last which is a plus. We use this in one of our front bedrooms that receives the most sun during the hot summer days since our central ac can’t keep the front rooms comfortable. It’s not terribly loud, and it says it’s only suited for 350 square feet, but\nIt’s working wonders in a 400+ square foot room and doing some work on the rest of the house too. My husband does run hot so we tried for a few hours (more than I wanted). This unit is 10,000 BTU the others we own are 8,000 so this one does keep more space cool.
