Straight out of the box...

Straight out of the box it was very easy to assemble - no tools needed. The side “blinds” slid into place without any problem and stayed pulled in so when we put it in the window they didn't get in the way.\r\n\r\nIt came with 2 different types of foam to stop up any cracks or open areas, and it worked well in doing its job, although I needed a little more as this is an old house. I did need 2 people to lift it into the window and it helped having a 3rd inside to close the window on top of the A/C but if there are only two people available it is light enough for one to hold while the other went inside to close the window. There was no need or a support pole or stick. It's light enough for a wooden window frame to hold easily, and it leaned back without having to adjust for water drainage.\r\n\r\nJust needs a simple 3 prong plugin. Comes with its own fuse switch on the plug which is very nice! When I turned it on for the first time I was very surprised at the power of the air! It easily blew thru the kitchen into the living room and was VERY cold. The adjustable vents don't seem to do much in directing the air side to side but I was impressed how it blew up towards the ceiling where the heat really is, and the range of the vents let it blow down also.\r\n\r\nDifferent modes:\r\nAuto: it just runs, it decides the temp and fan power.\r\nCool: this mode is fully manual and the one I prefer, so is the fan speed.\r\nEven has a Heat Option!\r\nDry: This is a de-humidifier option. I do like the de-humidifier because I live in the south, I don't like the fact that its set at 61 degrees and you cannot adjust it. This mode gets things too cold too fast! This is why it didn't get a 5-star rating.\r\n\r\nIt has an ECO setting also but this to me is useless. It just pops on every now and again for about 3 minutes and shuts off again. Doesn't seem to do anything temp wise. Also has a sleep and a timer option, I didn't get around to trying those.\r\n\r\nThe filter inside pops out easily and you can clean it under a faucet anytime you need to.\r\n\r\nComes with a remote and batteries right out of the box. But my favorite is the Wi-Fi! Has software for your android or iPhone where you can operate your A/C from any where if you have Wi-Fi. I tried it when I was in the next county over and it works great!\r\n\r\nI would recommend this to anyone it's a great air conditioner and with all the options its sure to please the millennial crowd, too!

Super easy %26 simple to set up. Connected with no problem to TCL Home app as well as Alexa . The only thing that kind of annoys me but isnt a huge deal is that , Alexa doesn't underatand every control that the A/C has . Sometimes the ECO will kick on %26 I'll say , "Alexa , turn off ECO on A/C" %26 she iist reponds with "I'm sorry , I don't know that one ." I have no problems using her to turn it off/on , adjusting temp setting %26 fan speed . All of that is kind of irrelevant however when it stops to save energy %26 you want it running constantly . I'm sure they can somehow work out an update to add this voice command. Literally works great though for cooling my bedroom . It has a timer setting as well , it shuts off 15 minutes before I go to work %26 turns on 30 minutes before I get home which I love . The only other thing I wish could be changed is that it says that while in ECO mode it will stop to check room temp to gauge when to turn off , but it doesn't show you the temp reading of the room which would be nice . All in all though , would buy it again ! I love that it's black %26 not a traditional white like every other A/C seen . Esentially why I bought it was for the color to match my navy blue walls %26 blackout curtains (I work night shift, 6p-6:30am so I need everything dark in my bedroom to sleep) . I have been pleased with the other features as well %26 look gorward to buying a bigger unit to cool my open floor plan living room/kitchen .

I had never heard of the TCL name brand when I ordered their 10,000 BTU air conditioner and I admit that I was a little apprehensive. Happily, I can report that this window unit is AMAZING and it will help provide a much more pleasant environment during our long, sweltering, southern summer! Heaven knows, we need all the help we can get! Fortunately, we had a similar size air conditioner already installed and it was a breeze to simply switch the two items. My husband and dad were done in less than an hour with the entire process. The previous unit had stopped cooling and we had already called the repairman twice, but he was unable to tackle the project. This product arrived just in the nick-of-time, as the temperature has started to rise considerably. All the hardware and bits and pieces are included, as well as a detailed installation guide. The unit has all the desired functions one could want in a window air conditioner. In addition to the cool mode, it also has a dry mode for reducing the humidity in the air (another important and necessary feature for the southern summer) as well as fan and auto modes. Also, there are ECO, sleep, fan speed, and filter buttons. By the way, the filter is easy to access and easy to clean. I am really impressed with all the detailed instructions that were included, from installation to use to trouble-shooting, etc. They really provided a thorough guide in easy-to-understand terms. I highly recommend this air conditioner to everyone.

This is my review of the TCL 10,000 BTU air conditioner with Wi-Fi, The first thing I wanna say it's a very big and heavy box you definitely need two people to lift it and move it around especially if you're picking up from the store. Everything was neatly packed in the box lots of Styrofoam. I removed it from the box and followed the instructions it was very easy to set up. The set up only took about 30 minutes from start to finish this includes putting it in the window And getting everything ready to use for the first time. Plugged it in and it was ready to go. The fit was good but my windows are older so it was a little difficult for me to get them in perfectly and to seal all the air out.\r\n\r\nJust download the app on your phone and you're ready to go, the very first thing I did notice is how very very quiet it is it runs extremely quiet the app works good you can do a lot of things from it. It's good if you decide that you want to turn it on before you come home. I definitely would recommend this to anybody looking for a Wi-Fi air conditioner it has a ton of great feet,It's only supposed to be used for 450 ft.² however I have a 700 square-foot home and it actually cool the whole house. I like that it does have the app and the remote. It makes life so more much more convenient

Upon turning it on, I expected the noise level of this unit to be on the louder side, considering it's size (10,000 BTU) but it's no louder then the smaller units on the market! This unit also comes with a remote, and the wifi accessibility is also an amazing bonus, which makes the unit capable of being linked to Google Home, Alexa, Echo, and such. The instructions to do so are very easy to follow, and it is great to have options on how you can control the unit. Having the unit connected through wifi you can operate the unit with your phone no matter where you are! How great is that!!! You can turn the unit off and on even if your away from home! Comes in extremely handy in the busy lives we all have! I'm sure we have all left home for the day or to run errands and forgot to turn our A/C's on. No need to worry about that now! Just use the TCL app or which ever app you chose to use to link your unit and TADA! JUST LIKE THAT, YOUR HOUSE WILL STAY COOL AND BE COOL WHEN YOU ARRIVE HOME!! This unit definitely gets 5 stars and endless thumbs-up 👍 !

TCL 10,000 BTU WINDOW AIR CONDITIONER WITH WI-FI. The air conditioner comes very well packaged from the manufacturer. I found it to be very heavy and needed help with the installation process. Installation is easy and the instructions are easy to follow. It comes with everthing you need for standard installation. The air conditioner comes with wi-fi but I did not use or test that option. It does come with a handy remote control that I find very usefull. I found that the air conditioner is a little loud and would not want it in my bedroom. It does work great and pumps out some cold air, cooling off a room quickly. The air conditioner has three cooling speeds as well as three fan speeds. Also a eco energy saver mode. It has a digital thermastat with a 24 hour timer and is equiped with a sleep mode. The LED display is clear and easy to read and all the buttons work nice and smooth. Eight way air flow direction so no matter where you install the air conditioner you can direct the air flow to any where in the room that you want. The filter is right in front and is easy to replace. I am very pleased with this air conditioner and it has been great in this heat wave in my area.

Finally, it has gotten warm enough to test this product out in high heat settings, and it works great. This air conditioner is a great size and a wonderful option for the summer for those homes and businesses that do not have central air conditioning. I thought that this air conditioner would be a great addition for my grandfather's pre-fabricated home, which gets over heated during the summer. Unfortunately, I did not pay much attention to the windows, which were not vertical opening. I was still able to use this in his him and try it out to see how it all worked within his space. It worked amazingly quick in the main room. It cooled down his single bedroom in under five minutes and the rest of the two bedroom home in under thirty minutes. This air conditioner worked incredibly fast. It was simple enough to get running and easy to maneuver with the settings. There were no difficult or unnecessary steps that needed to be taken for this to start doing its job. This is an incredible find from Walmart. It is the perfect product to keep you cool all summer long, just as long as you measure your window and it is a vertical opening window.

I love the AC unit. Cools great and looks good. I feel I'm pretty good with setting up wifi and connecting devices. Half my house is controlled by our Alexa devices. I spent 2 hours trying to set the unit up on my wifi so I could control it with my Alexa. I replaced another brand wifi ac unit with this TCL. The old ac unit connected to my wifi and Alexa in minutes. Today, I will try again to set it up. the app differs from the book, and the online help is different, too. You need to make it simpler. the book talks about using a wireless speaker?? a speaker to set up a window ac? I have set up many wifi controlled devices, and none referred to a speaker to set up. Either way, i didn't have one. You need to makevit like most other devices. Plug it in. Open the app, and it finds the device. Then, connect it to Alexa !

Important please measure your window before purchasing. If it doesn't work try for another window or you may have to return it. Once you have your measurements you are good to go. This air conditioner came in white and a remote is included plus the batteries. This unit cools the room in no time. If you are directly in front of it 9 times out of 10 you will end up cold. There is a ECO feature to set the temperature you would like so that the room can be your desired temperature. It will cut off when it reached the selected temperature. The night mode adjust to the settings you would like to give you the perfect temperature. The air filter is easy to clean out and keeping it clean will cause for the air conditioner to function at its best ability so that the air conditioner blows out cool clean air.

I have been using the same old air conditioner for so many years and the one I have been using I didn’t even get new. It was just one of the few my dad has had for years and years. So I have been really needing a new one! I got this at the perfect time! I didn’t know they made smart air conditioners! Now where I live it’s still pretty cold out and I usually don’t put the air conditioner in until the beginning of May! So I have not been able to start using it yet and I wish I was able to wait to review this until I could actually try it out. So my review is solely on my first impression and the looks of it. I am very impressed! It comes with a remote and it has an app you download to your phone and it connects to your WiFi!. It works with your Alexa, Alexa Echo, Android, Google homes, IPhone and Apple home pod. So this air conditioner is so awesome and I can only assume it will function beautifully! And with ease! I 100% recommend!

We have had 95 degree weather\r\nFor the last several days! \r\nWe are so happy with this, and are staying nice and cool now without having to run our\r\nwhole house, central air.\r\nThe unit is 10,000 BTU and has Wi-Fi. We can operate it from our cell phone any time.\r\nIt covers a room approx. 450 sq. Ft., and has a 24 hour timer for on/off functions.\r\nIt will also turn off automatically when the room reaches the set temperature.\r\nThere is an automatic re-start function that restarts the unit after the electricity has been\r\ninterrupted. \r\nA light will come on when you need to clean the filter.\r\nAnd one of the best features is how quiet this unit is! Putting in the the window was a breeze. I did give it 4 stars tho because, I was unable to connect it to the app. I followed all the directions and tried multiple times, with no luck sadly. I have a lot of my home appliances linked to my alexa and, unfortunately was not able to with this window unit. It does a great job cooling tho and is ice cold so, that's a big win. I love that it comes with a remote and, it shows the temperature digitally on the the face of the unit.

It is sturdy and it's not very loud at all. Instalation was easy although I had to make some modifications. The reason for the 4 stara instead of 5. But I will yell you this, it blows COLD. and I'm hoping it'll make a difference this summer for the room I out it in is the hottest year round.

It was very easy to set up. The noise level is extremely low. I love that it has a remote or you can use your smartphone if you download the Alexa or google assistant app. It restarts automatically after a power outage which is really cool. You can set the unit to turn on and off whenever you want using the 24 hour timer. The filter is washable. So you won’t need to spend that extra money buying new filters. This is an energy saving unit so you can keep your electric bill lower each year. I highly recommend and well worth the cost.

We have it in my daughters upstairs bedroom window & it virtually keeps our entire apartment cool (we have a very open floor plan no doors except on the bathroom)!! She loves the fact it has a remote & we can control it from anywhere in the apartment !! Plus it's not loud & doesn't bother her at all !! It was really easy to install & completely worth hauling up our stairs *lol* !! On to the review though…we don’t have central air and rely on window units to cool our two story house, so we purchase lots of units as time goes by. This summer is supposed to have some especially brutal days and this unit came just in time! Not only is it a nice unit for cooking big spaces, it’s a great brand and we have been using it the last few days with no issues whatsoever. It easily cools the area we need and is not very loud or disruptive . The remote is so handy to be able to adjust the temps from across the room!

I have an older house, and have a big lip on my window. So the unit doesn't sit well or steady. I am going to have to put a support under it, but I will figure it out. Otherwise, I love it and can't wait to use it this summer.

It was lightweight and the directions were easy to follow. \n\nIt provides an incredible amount of cool in a very short time. Powerful fan. A little noisy but not uncomfortably so. Really pleased with it.\n\nI also like how it was packaged because it makes life easier to uninstall / package up and store every winter.

nice clean design, side grill where a wedged cardboard was inserted slightly bent the grill/vent area even though no visible damage on box.\ninstallation wasn't quick (perhaps due to my not so square window)... on initial plugging in the fan had a raspy growl then it went away. Many reviewers state that it's a quiet unit but maybe I received the only LOUD one because "quiet" it is not.\nIt does get cold quickly

The TLC 10,000 BTU Black Window Air Conditioner with WiFI is absolutely amazing. The unit puts out a great amount of nice cool air without interruption. It is very pleasing to look at, and looks great in the window. The remote control is very nice to have and comes with its own batteries. The WiFi is great to have, it gives you control of the Air Conditioning Unit with your phone. On your phone it displays the temperature and the settings you need to control the unit and its functions. With the weather getting hotter as summer is on its way, this is the time to get a good Air Conditioner and this one I highly recommend. When you buy this Unit, you will not be disappointed.

Even with eco mode off,...

Even with eco mode off, the compressor still shuts off when the unit thinks the room is cold enough - even if the outside is hotter. So it heats the room back up. I would've thought an inverter-based unit would be able to VFD the compressor but I guess not, it just shuts off. Clearly has no advantages over other units.\r\n\r\nAlso the display on the unit is an eye-searing blue instead of green. I literally cannot read it in the dark with one eye, I can only read it with my right eye due to how blue it is. I have no idea why only one of my eyes can read this blue, but it is a terrible blue and impossible to read from a distance. Absolutely not the green from the photos.\r\n\r\nAlso the vents on the top are so large that leaves fall into the unit and start rattling from the airflow. Literally no idea how to fix this once the leaves are inside, without having to take the unit out of the window and disassemble.\r\n\r\nAlso, you can't turn off the WiFi, and the eco-mode setting is not remembered (you have to manually turn eco mode off every single time you turn on the unit).\r\n\r\nDon't get this unit if you like staying cool, like being able to read the display, or live in an area with trees.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was incentivized an 8,000 BTU smart air conditioner. Thank you, Influenster and TCL! This air conditioner has a modern look to it. It isn't extremely heavy and bulky, which made it easier to install in my window. It comes with a nice remote control. For even more convenience, I hooked it up to my Amazon Alexa. I'm extremely happy with this product. It cools almost my entire downstairs, and rather quickly, too! (With the help of our ceiling fans to help distribute the cool air.) It's also pretty quiet. I would absolutely recommend this air conditioner to anyone who is looking for a smart cooling unit.

Unlike a lot of ACs I have had in this past, this TCL model has a nice compact construction with a near flush face that doesnt extend too far past the window mounts. It operates relatively quiet and cools my kitchen like nothing I have used before. Highly recommend grabbing one of these if you can!

Has no problem cooling 240 square feet at all. Says it’s good for up to a 250 square foot area. It has multiple cooling and fan speeds. Energy saving/eco mode is perfect for saving on electric bills. It has a built in 24 hour timer, which is great for setting for the day before leaving for work. It came with all the installation accessories which is a plus. Also comes with a remote. Just stick this TCL bad boy in the window and you’ll be cool all summer long!! 10/10 highly recommend!!
